Marc became passionate about yoga as a child. Studying from books on posture and pranayama, he had an unusual commitment to practice and a deep interest in the more esoteric practices as well as meditation. As an adult he returned to yoga in 1991, working with ‘Scaravelli inspired’ teachers as well as Osteopaths and anatomists, and over the last 18 years he has earned himself a reputation for making yoga accessible to absolutely everyone - from athlete to paraplegic - transforming people’s relationships with their bodies, offering direct tools to help turn dysfunction into understanding, and redressing life-long postural (and personal) issues in the process. |

“I believe the practice of Yoga is mostly about developing awareness of what is going on right this moment, rather than learning fixed responses that may not serve our current needs. When we become truly present, in that moment we become capable of simply stepping out of our physical and emotional restrictions, into a new reality innocent of old injuries. It is in these moments of clarity that apparently miraculous transformation occurs, and the body becomes suddenly able to move in astounding ways with simplicity and grace.” Since 1994 Marc has been teaching workshops and training courses in the UK, Scotland and Europe, and has develped 'the Sequence©' - an approach that can be applied to any style of yoga that encompasses the understanding of his lifetime's teaching...the Sequence© can also be applied to absolutely any kind of body work, to bring safety, integration and structural intelligence to whatever you choose to do. Marc teaches the yoga on all Alive Retreats events including longhaul destinations, as well as providing ongoing online one-to-one and group sessions for those that wish follow-up suport via skype.
